If you bring children under age 8 to an activity which involves riding in a car, Wisconsin law requires children to be in a special child car seat or booster seat, in the back seat of the car (if there is a back seat).

•Less than 1 year old, or less than 20 lbs. must be in a rear-facing child seat in the back seat.

•At least 1 year old, but less than 4 years old, at least 20 lbs, but less than 40 lbs., must be in a forward-facing child seat in the back seat.

•At least 4 years old, but less than 8 years old, at least 40 lbs but less than 80 lbs., and less than 4 ft. 9 ins., must be in a booster seat.
