A small group of us decided to explore the Black River State Forest over Memorial Day weekend. The Black River, we learned, is so named because of it’s high iron content, which makes it look dark. We had a great time together, exploring the area. Another opportunity to get away from Madison for a few days and enjoy the beauty of outdoors.
